Amazon Reviews

I've been buying from Amazon for quite a few years now, and have really increased my number of products I buy from them over the past couple of years.  I think it is time I went back on the site and actually provided some reviews of the products I have used. Oh wait, maybe what I should do is write the reviews on a blog, and then use a snapshot of the full review, with my blog site link in it, to post on Amazon.  And I could put an Amazon affiliate link in my blog post to the product, so when I publish the blog post and update my Twitter feed, it would have the affiliate link built in. Now I need to build a Twitter post frame, so that too enhances my brand.  Wait first I have to build the brand identity. I guess posting a review on Amazon just got a whole lot more complicated.  Well first I need to see if I can actually build a template for the blog.  There is a lot to do, I really need to get busy. Peace, JD

Paper Words

Occasionally I read a local paper, and wonder who writes for these things.  I am just old enough that I remember when newspapers and local rag sheets were still bigger than the internet.  Hell I wrote for a few local sheets myself back then, but those were different times.  Today I read a review and wonder, really does the reviewer get paid for this.  It is not that I find the online reviews much better, just that I feel I guess that printed ones should be better than the online ones. Now I should not say much, I have not written in quite some time, much more than my web logs and a few reviews on various sites like Amazon and the like, it is just really, food blogs are better, how did that happen.  I expected I guess that newspapers would still uphold a bit of decorum and not just produce a printed version of a blog. I remember saying back, oh way back, when computers were still mostly business machines and geek toys, that this will change the publishing...
Well the book "Another Fey Tail" has been downloaded 84 times so far, so I hope that will be good for later, when I release the next episode in the series.  Episode three should be out sometime in the first week of January, with episode 4 following about two weeks there after.  I am going to try to get them out every two weeks, as I also will be releasing two other works in serial format, as well as two books, sometime this spring.  I am hoping that everyone will like the serial format, as I like the way it works for me.  It allows me to get some of the work out there while I complete the rewrites on the rest of it. I have already started the second book in the series, and as it stands right now, it will only be two books, which once released fully in serial format, will be released in a collection of the two volumes in hard cover format, sometime around this time next year.  I really hope to release the hard cover format around the end of November of 2012, b...

New Blogs are Being a Written

It appears I have some down time here and there, and in my search to utilize this down time I am writing more blogs. Notice I said blogs, not post, because frankly, I think each subject deserves its own location, so that is what I am doing. So be on the look out for post to new blogs I will be writing in the future, they might even be interesting enough to warrant your taking a look at them. The first one will be called "Rules of the Road" if that is available. It just comes from my road warrior life, and maybe will provide some assistance to those who drive the roads. Maybe it will just be humorous to those that drive for a living. If that isn't available, I will give some other appropriate name and post it here, as well as on FB and some other sites, so just watch for the links. That's all for now, but there will be more, oh yes there will be more.
I've been at this for to long, now. It ceases to amaze me that nothing comes from all the writing, as it is mostly posturing. How have I gotten to this point? Where do I go from here? What difference does it make?

Another comment From Mike's Blog

This is a comment I made on Mike's Blog on MySpace, in response to a comment by another commenter . I hate to be the barer of such, but you assumption that I assumed is incorrect, in that I based my "assumptions" from your misunderstanding, which is not uncommon, but actually the precise education achieved through years of public education. That you believe that the Constitution is a document that gives us freedom from the obligation to the British Crown, you therefore do not understand the language of the Constitution. The belief that General George Washington was fighting for our freedom is a gross misconception. The Continental United States of America were fighting for representation not independence in the sense that we are made to believe. That you as well do not know me, as I do not know you, I was responding directly to your words, as you provided, and given that you continue with your belief indicates that you are yet to understand that I am not an advocate ...

And you Have the Key

This post by a good friend of mine, provides a great parable of the times. Check it out on his MySpace blog.

Economic Recovery and other High Wire Acts

A sane individual may state that all this talk of economic recovery, and the associated government policies being put through congress is a positive movement. I have read a lot about them lately, especially the white house blog , and to me it is scary. I am concerned that to much to fast is being done, but a lot needs to be done in a hurry to stem the tide. These programs put forth, the recovery act, the mortgage act, the banking act, all are probably necessary, but they are hard to swallow. It is the speed at which these programs are being accepted that is kind of scaring me. That and the fact that there seems to be a lot of transparency, but I am always concerned when they say to much, because it always make me wonder what are they hiding behind the smoke screens. The second point is how everything seems to be working for this President. The first lady is campaigning for him, the vice president is working on projects, everything seems to be working all to well, and that concern...
"I'm again'm" Alex Jones Well that's nice. No, I am not against Alex Jones , or what he does. As misguided as he might be, in some areas, I listen to him, accept his opinion, and often comment on his articles. He is doing some good stuff out there, but he like others like him, are missing part of the story. David Icke has the same problem, missing some of the puzzle. I am not saying I have the puzzle completed, all I am saying is I know I am missing something, and that I think is the difference. Today listening to Alex, I heard him go on about the New World Order, and how he is against them, no matter what they are for. He just opposes them, no matter what. While that is noble, it does seem to limit his perspective. Myself I began designing the New World Order when I was 14. This is not to say that I am in alignment with the Neo-Cons or any other organization, it is that I worked on a program that would change the world, and yes it did include an elite el...
Watching Me On 20/20 last night they had a story about search engines and what they track. So they hinted at the fact that search engines track me. Besides already knowing this, I also subscribe to Stumble , Digg , MySpace , and several other social and bookmarking sites, all of which track how I use the web. It is my experiment to see if I can be tracked throughout the web. I really would like to see what others think I am thinking. Can they tell from what I search what I think? I guess it will take some time to figure out. I also have several blogs, which all have different aspects of how I work on things. So maybe if they put it all together they might get some idea, but somehow I do not think they will. I somehow think that if they did put everything together I might be expecting a knock on the door from the government. It is not that I am subversive per se, but that I certainly touch on lots of subversive subjects. But what is subversive? I think that subversion is ki...
I feel like I should be upset, but I am not really. Today I received an email from blogger that one of my newest blogs http://cookingwithahammer.blogspot.com was flagged as spam. I wonder why they have done this. They say it was picked up by their bot, but I still wonder what triggered the bot. Was it the links, because if it was, I use links all the time in my blogs, to point to references or to other sources, or just other sites I find interesting. Was it because the links were in a row, all mushed together, because they were all relative. Well maybe because I was indicating a list of companies that all have serious control over our food supply. Was that it, because I mentioned companies like ADM , Cargill , Monsanto , Exxon/Mobile and a few others that continuously use genetically modified seed stocks to feed the world population, as well as other types of chemicals (see Exxon/Mobile (formally Rockefeller's Standard Oil)). If that was it, let me add a few others to the ...
Blog about Blogging My Style I have been at this since blogger was in beta, not a new beta, but when it was the first beta. I hop all around this blog sphere and see these blog babies who have been here for maybe like a few months, and they are nearly famous. What's the secret? Don't answer that, I know what the secret is, but I ain't buying it. I am here at least now to just write my shit and ask the hard questions. If anyone listens in, hey that's their problem not mine. So sit back and enjoy the ride, because it is going to get fun around here and I don't make any promises that it will always be pretty. Peace James
Blog Test I am looking over my blogs in the past on this particular blog. I see that I am still testing the waters, and haven't developed my style yet. I haven't even settled on a particular signature yet. So I will continue to test things, and see if they get responses. So far no one really has responded, but I don't really care, because this is for my benefit, and maybe I want to publish stuff that doesn't matter to anyone else, so it doesn't matter to me what others really think, at not in reference to this blog. I have several other blogs, most of them are more pointed, and some of them are even private, so I will continue to publish in some form. There is no such thing as private, as even though I may make a blog private on the server, it is on the server and if at some time they decided to make it public it is well within their rights unless I pull the data of the server before it can go public. Any way I have a bunch of stuff to publish here now so tha...
Daily Rants The problem is I don't always have a daily rant. Right now I have three post I just haven't got to. I don't mind deadlines, although I hate to think that I should set them form myself on a blog. I see other blogs that include things like new every monday, which is not too bad on the surface. I can sometimes go a week without wanting to post anything. Sometimes I will write several pieces and not post them until several days later, not because I am editing them, but because it just is easier to do that way. So I don't always have a daily rant, but I quite often have a weeks worth of rants in one day. -James-
