Link to full article with images that did not transfer for some reason Well first I will start with death, since it is the place that seems to be of most interest to most people.  Some well known people died this year, but that is true with every year, so I am not going to post a bunch of names, there are tons of list on the web that do that.  This year we all know about the loss of Apple’s bigger than life leader Steve Jobs .  We also should mention that there were many other pioneers of the computing industry that also past.   Wired provides a decent list of them, although it seems to be missing something, and it has some errors in content, it is a list just the same.  To me the really weird part is that I am almost their age, and wonder, is it the computer that has taken their lives this way. I was reading through the Syracuse Craislist directory, just aimlessly seeking things, and maybe positions of interest, when I started thinking about writing again. I came across an offer from a Lake George Magazine (George Magazine), for a writer, but I don't live in that area, so it didn't seem like it was a good fit. The more I thought about it, the more I wondered, what if there was a Lake Ontario magazine that sort of was like George, but different. I did some Google searches and mostly what I found were magazines dealing with the lake itself, and mostly fishing and/or boating. While I am sure this is the primary interest in the lake, it may not be the primary interest in the area that surrounds Lake Ontario, or the Great Lakes, or Central North East New York. Knowing that there are lots of NY magazines, so that is well covered, and I don't live in the Big Apple any more, so that is moot, I thought, what about another magazine.
