U.S. Seeks to Stem Bank Fears - WSJ.com

U.S. Seeks to Stem Bank Fears - WSJ.com The only thing I fear is that this continuous bullshit will continue to distract the populace from the real problems that could threaten to create a global crisis. See more here: http://jedoud.wordpress.com/2009/02/21/us-seeks-to-st…k-fears-wsjcomus-seeks-to-stem-bank-fears-wsjcom/ Thank you for listening, or is it watching, maybe it is reading, well it all depends.

Technorati: Discussion about “U.S. Seeks to Stem Bank Fears”

Technorati: Discussion about “U.S. Seeks to Stem Bank Fears” Rather than shore up the banks, and definitely do not nationalize them, let them fail, they may burn us a little or a lot, but they have burned us a lot more previously, burn them down and let the people out of their contracts with these greed mongers. No, really, I mean it, let the banks fail, it will hurt the economy but it will help the people who can rebuild the economy after the fall.
Again I sit here waiting, for anything, where are the breaks in this silence. I,m tired, I think I will go back to bed.
Spitting Aspires The trigger in my hand I will shoot into you Least you move Better by the burn So deep these lies Ever slow and quick Slippery and warm Given the situation Must be fast now Not much more Time is slipping away Before you are cold
I am sometimes A degenerate Willing to accept That vile soul I am sometimes More than I seem As often as not What you get Oh, yes, please Do that, yes One more time I don't think so I am most times More deprived Given to fits And giving in to it I am often thinking Thoughts less Pristine Than others would Believe
GM Seeks as Much as $16.6 Billion in New U.S. Aid Feb. 18 (Bloomberg) -- General Motors Corp. asked the U.S. for as much as $16.6 billion in new loans, more than doubling the aid to date, and said it needs some of the cash next month to survive as it sheds brands and cuts 47,000 more jobs worldwide. Chrysler LLC, propped up like GM with federal assistance, said it’s seeking $5 billion more from the government and will shed 3,000 more positions. Now isn't this a sticky wicket? I do not envy Mr. Obama in this situation. There is a lot riding on this, although I do think the auto makers are making it a little more dire than it is, as if they don't the public sentiment will not be sufficiently scared to move their representatives to pass the buck so to speak. I think Mr. Obama will have to take a strong and perhaps unfavorable stance on this one, but I don't see how he can take any other position. Sometimes you have to let the old dogs die, sometimes you have to put them
Another Time Maybe Here I sit, smoking my cigarettes, drinking to much coffee, listening to David Bowie's "Modern Love". Putting words to the page, which may make no sense to you, but it makes perfect sense to me. I read the news today (oh, boy), it was the same old shoot 'em up, the same old rock and roll, so I won't bore you to much with the details. The state of the state is an economic smoke screen, the world is finding new grounds on which to establish peace of war, and the US is front and center in their own minds. People continue to go about their way, picking up shiny objects, or watching their own pathetic lives tank, feeling sorry for the empty bottle in their hands. The song changes, and I feel that it is more to the point. If I could save the world, don't you think I would really rather see it crash and burn. You know who you are, so just take up that banner, run through the streets naked and scream you are oppressed, because you are free. A
Mere dong et eee mmmm Hazy screen before me Obscures the view of truth Provides me with comfort Ever changing hues of liquid blues Nodding off before the news Its probing sound penetrates Pervades my swirling dreams Filters through my sluggish brain To the car I float To buy some sort of food It is bright and colorful I do not recognize its name A smiling woman drones Lulls me back to sleep Satisfied on sugar streams There is no fear now Smiling face assures me The best interest for me He is glistening in the light Of liquid crystal screens My phone vibrates longingly Numbing my senses to feeling Some woman I vaguely remember I am to appear an hour early There's a train outside my door It swallows me into the fray I blend into the blue and gray There is a small imprint here A moment of lucid thought A light that flashes on and off I snap awake to see her face Just before the needle hits the vein Gray now, getting dim Soft voices like doves cooing And then silence, darkness Empty vo
It Breaks the Rhythm Reprise How much longer can you resist The lust that wells in your breast And seethes in your loins Burning you fingers so Can you allow your truth be known Can you continue to hide in shadow Behind smoldering glances And flaring eyes of desire Will you resist the advances Will you persist to be frigid Against the natural ebb and flow To no avail, this you know Any stolen chance presents To know the opportunity advances Do you recognize the cue Are you to lost in mental mazes Hear the call Head the yearning Linger a little to long Near the flame Burning still In your soul
Arch id Fine Girl, youth spent, drenched Sweat, drips, breathing Heaving, ragged rasp, breast Glistening, in twilight air Secured, wrist wound, hands Bound, behind displayed, gagged Whimpering, silent sobs, sighs She awaits, pensive, delirious Woman, now grown, forgets Nothing, dreams, repeats Endless, reminders, loops Forgives, to much, nothing Nothing, nothing, nothing No one, no how, not one thing Bitterness, like blood, drips From blade, from hand, from lips
Ereron from Gil-cully Down She, was raving, spinning in her world So very close now, and fare to know Could it be she misunderstood Or did she think she would find the truth She came a ways to look through the hole To know something she thought was old To feel or sleep in the stories told She came along to tag or bag a gag The mistress might see her youth The night might give her pause to breath The knave would please her if he pleases But the jester laughs at her worth And the sis is given in to the path And walks with the fools and cats And knows that she will know the pain Of emptiness that is lost at birth And there she stood, so self assured Ready to take on the jester's mirth Certain she would find his weakness How little she knows his treachery There in time comes the cost She realized now the worth at last But to come so far for loss and return to the down, not aware that she was made from the first
From the old Books Reprise Words in spin, twirl firth from ink to type Knowledge springs forth from this hype Strings strangle the girl in her head She stumbles on mumbles she thought she heard Where ever there is common ground They will find there is no place to stand Across the sea and through the sky To places been and forgotten Ere to know, and then to grow from mistakes She may learn now, and then, to let go
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya This is really for a friend of mine, but I thought what the fuck, I would post it here instead. First the basis of the anime is in the song. It is painfully obvious that the Kyon and Haruhi are building a relationship, and as most relationships of the coming of age type, they are not without their characters. She, Haruhi, is obviously in love with Kyon, and he is painfully oblivious to it, with minor exceptions. The other characters are as such that they play only supporting roles to the story line to provide either tension, Mikuru, or plot push, Itsuki, or plot modifier, Yuki. If this series were to continue, which it does not apparently, it would have evolved as such that they, Haruhi and Kyon would have to move past the petty squabble into a more involved relationship, which would eventually eliminate the need for the other three characters. The exterior motive is about a girl who through her will changes the world in which she lives, but this
Mistrial declared in girl’s alleged assault on cop In the are you fucking kidding me department. Now I get to say what I want. Ah, hell, lets face it this is not only not a isolated event it is just an escalation of recent events that prove that cops are becoming the defacto rule, and that citizens had better keep their noses clean. I really can't even approach this right now, so I will come back to it when I am not so fucking pissed.
