I was Thinking, or Not

I've been buying from Amazon for quite a few years now, and have really increased my number of products I buy from them over the past couple of years.  I think it is time I went back on the site and actually provided some reviews of the products I have used. Oh wait, maybe what I should do is write the reviews on a blog, and then use a snapshot of the full review, with my blog site link in it, to post on Amazon.  And I could put an Amazon affiliate link in my blog post to the product, so when I publish the blog post and update my Twitter feed, it would have the affiliate link built in. Now I need to build a Twitter post frame, so that too enhances my brand.  Wait first I have to build the brand identity. I guess posting a review on Amazon just got a whole lot more complicated.  Well first I need to see if I can actually build a template for the blog.  There is a lot to do, I really need to get busy. Occasionally I read a local paper, and wonder who writes for these things.  I am just old enough that I remember when newspapers and local rag sheets were still bigger than the internet.  Hell I wrote for a few local sheets myself back then, but those were different times.  Today I read a review and wonder, really does the reviewer get paid for this.  It is not that I find the online reviews much better, just that I feel I guess that printed ones should be better than the online ones. Now I should not say much, I have not written in quite some time, much more than my web logs and a few reviews on various sites like Amazon and the like, it is just really, food blogs are better, how did that happen.  I expected I guess that newspapers would still uphold a bit of decorum and not just produce a printed version of a blog. I remember saying back, oh way back, when computers were still mostly business machines and geek toys, that this will change the publishing...

Went to Mimi's Drive In Diner in Fulton, NY today. Have been there several times in the past, so I know what to expect, not much. Like 99% of these dives, they are all the same, and why are they all the same, because they all buy from the same supplier Sysco. This is what gives them all the sameness, no matter where you go. The same fried chicken, the same meatloaf, the same burgers. Now all I have to ask is how the hell hard is this diner food to do, really. The reason every one of them is the same is because they are lazy, they don't want to source their own suppliers. That would be like work or something. Besides they have half wits for cooks, who would not know a butcher from a buccaneer. There is something to be said for sameness though. Every one of these dives should have the same stuff on their menus, that part is true. But really how hard is it to make a meatloaf. Let me explain that, you have chopped meat, bread crumbs, and egg. Yea, another post on the post listening again in so many years to the Moody Blues. Yea and they are still such a groove, but you got to take it all in whole, not just this track or that track, 'cause man they wrote it to be listened to all the way through. Respect their intentions man, and listen to them solid grooves and heavy beats, from beginning to the end, there ain't no skip tracks, no silence, just smooth waves of cool all over the place. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya This is really for a friend of mine, but I thought what the fuck, I would post it here instead. First the basis of the anime is in the song. It is painfully obvious that the Kyon and Haruhi are building a relationship, and as most relationships of the coming of age type, they are not without their characters. She, Haruhi, is obviously in love with Kyon, and he is painfully oblivious to it, with minor exceptions. The other characters are as such that they play only supporting roles to the story line to provide either tension, Mikuru, or plot push, Itsuki, or plot modifier, Yuki. If this series were to continue, which it does not apparently, it would have evolved as such that they, Haruhi and Kyon would have to move past the petty squabble into a more involved relationship, which would eventually eliminate the need for the other three characters.
