I feel like I should be upset, but I am not really. Today I received an email from blogger that one of my newest blogs http://cookingwithahammer.blogspot.com was flagged as spam. I wonder why they have done this. They say it was picked up by their bot, but I still wonder what triggered the bot. Was it the links, because if it was, I use links all the time in my blogs, to point to references or to other sources, or just other sites I find interesting. Was it because the links were in a row, all mushed together, because they were all relative. Well maybe because I was indicating a list of companies that all have serious control over our food supply. Was that it, because I mentioned companies like ADM , Cargill , Monsanto , Exxon/Mobile and a few others that continuously use genetically modified seed stocks to feed the world population, as well as other types of chemicals (see Exxon/Mobile (formally Rockefeller's Standard Oil)). John Baldacci on Wednesday withdrew his nomination of an organic blueberry grower to the Board of Pesticides Control after intense lobbying against her by groups that represent conventional farmers. Pressure from conventional farmer lobbyist has successfully prevented a fully qualified person from serving on the Pesticides Control Board, creating a vacuum that will eventually be filled with a person who is not environmentally connected, as is per their own board charter. It has come to my attention that a former employer and current landlord of mine is currently being indicted for several violations concerning his business practices as a property manager. This comes as no surprise to me as a former employee of his I was his project manager, and we continuously were at odds as to what should be done for the tenants of his properties. This new information may provide me with interest in developing a particular case for my loss of employment, and future conflicts in the loss of my home from the same said person.

Winging it Again Well now I am trying again to make it on my own, so to speak. I have been let go from my previous employment, at which I served as a construction manager. Oh, well it was alright, but to be honest, I could not keep up appearances. My former employer is to say, a less than noble landlord. I had problems with his ethics and let us just leave it at that. So here I am again trying to hawk my services as a contractor, again. What I need is a silent partner. Someone who will fund a few initial startup cost, and provide me with the means to obtain the actual working capital I need to get and keep the operation rolling. I am looking for someone who understands craftsmanship, understands opportunity, and recognizes value, with out a lot of MBA bullshit. I have three basic plans in the works, all of which could be solved with one great plan. What I need is some enterprising people to come in and provide me with the financial assistance to get out of my hole and obtain the resources necessary to put my plans in action. The first plan build a small eco-contracting business, this will provide a regular inflow of capital to the operations, no matter what else happens. The key thing to the trades is that they are always in demand. Someone somewhere is always in need of repair of some type, and that is what this plan is all about, providing trade services to people who need them, affordable, and with a conscious. It is simple in application and cheap in financing, so it should be easy enough to implement. Public debate on Public Education Sometime around 1635 the American public embraced their first public school. For all the noble reasons that upon first scan may induce from this humble beginning Public Education has never been about educating the public. I don't expect that this will be an agreeable point for most individuals to see, although there are some that may have touched on the subject, the basis for the rationale is particularly dull, considering the true vision that is projected by a ill society. Yesterday the clutch went on the Mercedes, so I had to fix it. It was just the low pressure line, so it was no big deal, but just adds to my frustration. Currently still working the same job as before. I am not sure what Casey wants, but it certainly is not to help people. Oh yea he has helped me, in some fashion, but to the extent that I work for him to pa for the house I am buying from him. I am still looking for a better type of job. What I want is to run my own business, doing what I am doing now, only for myself. I might have stumbled upon this, but that remains to be seen.

I don't remember what I last wrote about, but today I am writing for my own sanity. Buying the Farm Owning a farm is harder than it seems. First there is the purchase of the land. In most areas this is prohibitive for most people looking to get into farming. One of the primary reasons for this is that most farms are being sold at developer prices. That is they are being sold as if they were being sold to developers, which should and will pay much higher prices for land than a farmer, especially new or beginning farmers can afford. Besides the land there are all the other parts that have to be purchased.
