Today, Tomorrow, Next Week...

Some things to worry about, some things not to worry about.

The end of the world, point blank, not something to worry about.  If it all ended tomorrow, it would not matter today, you can not prepare for it.  If the world ceases to be habitable, you are going to die, but it won't matter because you will be dead.  Further, I don't think this will happen, so I don't focus on it.

World Domination, by some group or another, not something to worry about.  One, there is not one group, but several, and even if they can get together for a moment and make a decision at least long enough to get control of the world economy and maybe even other things, they can not hold it together very long.  This has been tried for ages, believe it or not, it has been the goal of many groups, the Romans, the Egyptians, the Mongols, the Gauls, and the list goes on.  The reason they were not able to do it, is the same reason that no one else will be able to do it, nature doesn't work that way.  Sure lots of parts are in place for it to happen, religion, economics, control of resources, but nature is not about control, and you can not control nature, so set that one aside.

Destruction of the environment, another misunderstood problem.  We can not destroy the environment, as the environment recreates us, and we are at that point.  We can assist in the destruction of our own species, but that is about it.  We just are not that talented.

So there are some things to not worry about, many of those.

So some things to worry about.
Hard times, well they can get harder, that is certain, but for the most part, they just get harder for those that are not able, or willing to adapt.  As far as I can see, things are going to get harder for many, easier for some, and for the most part we are going to head into a New World Order, which is not really a NWO, but the re-branding of the old world order, that has been here since people got together, and began to specialize.  When we left the garden of Eden so to speak, we started to specialize, and that was the end of the first world order, the second world order still hangs on to that.  I am watching this closely, as I have seen some interesting things, and they have as yet to bear fruit.

The Aliens' are coming.  This may be true, or maybe they are already here.  This really remains to be seen, as I have not seen enough evidence of either, or anything that states one way or the other.  We are a relatively primitive race on the order of things, but are we.  What good would it do them, what do we have to offer.  Labor, we are too weak for that, mostly, machines are better and consume less energy.  For what can we provide them, entertainment value is about all I can think of off the top of my head.  If they are capable of intergalactic travel, however they do it, then we are not much more than talking monkeys to them.    It is a human emotional trait that gives us this idea that they would want to rule over us.  It doesn't make a lot of sense, we ain't worth the effort.

Here are the things to worry about, really.
Community, we need to build our community on a real basis, not based on unrealistic, unsustainable practices of transport and international trades.  Work locally, this will have a global effect.

Diversity, we have to face our reality, even within the same culture and apparent physical differences, we are more alike than different.  We need to have this difference, but at the same time we need to cultivate our likenesses.  It is the balance that makes us functional.  Where diversity is most important is in nature.

Ok, here's the final bit, nature.  We are all part of the natural order, and like it or not, the natural order will dictate our lives more than anything we do otherwise.  We can either work with nature, or fool ourselves into believing we can work on nature.  The truth is no meta science, no religion, no belief system, nothing will beat nature.  We can not control it, convert it, we can not change the basic laws and tenants of nature, it is, and we are because of it.  The Sun rules our lives, the elements rule our nature, and everything else is just constructs of pathetic men, I mean men mostly, trying to hide that which is not hidden, but right within our own lives.  Look around you, take a moment to look around, observe, nature is, and we are but a part of it, and there is no denying that.  Nature is all there is, everything else, cosmic or otherwise, science or technological, belief or religion, it is all part of the nature that we are part of, like it or not.

If you really want to stop worrying about things, stop, look, listen, the answers are there, within, and without.
